
Gabe Collins is a 2005 Princeton University graduate (AB, Politics, cum laude) who speaks Russian and Chinese and has lived in both countries. A related analysis is slated to appear in Oil and Gas Journal's May 15 issue. Mr. Collins has taken a position as a research fellow in the Naval War College's Strategic Studies Department and will begin work on May 30.
Russia wields a formidable energy weapon. Many countries in Europe and the former Soviet Union get the bulk of their natural gas from Russian pipelines and are thus dependent upon Russia to keep their homes warm and factories running.
